Vivian Helen Fiedler, 88, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, entered into the arms of the Lord on Monday, December 14, 2015, at Rolling Hills Manor in Zion, IL.
She was born December 21, 1926, in Waukegan and spent her early years there until she married the love of her life, Donald, at age 18, and moving to Zion, IL. Vivian was a world class mother and homemaker. She devoted her life to caring for her husband and family, was a bookkeeper for Fielder Decorating, the family business, and had her own cleaning business in later years, but family was always the most important thing in her life. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was loved and cherished all her many nieces and nephews. In her final years, she was cared for like family by the devoted staff at Rolling Hills, who all knew her as Grandma, and the entire family cannot thank them enough for the care and sensitivity they have shown her.
Survivors include her three children, Richard (Barb) Fiedler, Penny (Larry) Erickson, and Donald (Betsy) Fiedler; grandchildren, Tommy Fiedler, Jackie Hurkes Fiedler, Kristina Kennedy, Hannah Kennedy, Max Fiedler, Mitchell Fiedler, and Ivy Fiedler. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Alex Fiedler, Kayla Collella, Shayna Strait, Matthew Strait; many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Margaret Hanlin.
