Warren died from cancer on October 4, 2023. His long-time partner, Kathryn “Kay” A. (Cahill) McCarty, died from Alzheimer’s on January 9, 2024. They met in Chicago in 1982, and had been together ever since. Warren worked for the City of Waukegan. They were buried beside each other at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park IL, and are now “together forever.”
