William Brock

William J. Brock III, 64, of Winthrop Harbor, died on Thursday, July 27, 2006. William was born February 11, 1942 in Waukegan and married Ethel Blackwood on February 3, 1969, in Winthrop Harbor, IL. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad (formerly Chicago Northwestern Railroad) where he worked as a conductor. William was a veteran of the United States Army having been stationed in Germany. He was an avid gardener and he loved to travel. Survivors include his wife Ethel; son, William Brock of Winthrop Harbor, IL; three brothers, James (Karen) Brock of Arizona, Daniel Brock of Idaho, and Louis (Julie) Brock also of Idaho. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, William Jr. and Margaret Ruth Hardy Brock.. Visitation will be Thursday, August 3, 2006, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Memorial donations to Winthrop Harbor Fire and Rescue Dept. 830 Sheridan Rd., Winthrop Harbor, IL 60096 have been suggested.
