Richard A. Kuntar, 88, of Waukegan, IL passed away December 28, 2022. He was born on January 26, 1934 in Waukegan, IL the son of Stanley and Viola Kuntar.
Richard graduated from Waukegan High School, and shortly after worked for Northshore Garden of Memories with his father. He later worked for Johnson Motors after 43 years before retiring in 1999. Richard enjoyed gardening, and remodeling with his long time companion of forty-three years Marie Guzman. They also shared a loving passion for their dogs and pets. Richard also enjoyed snowmobiling and building model airplanes with his son.
Richard is survived by his companion Marie Guzman.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Kuntar; parents; and fur babies, Rex, Zaza, Snoopy, Shadow, Skipper, Mitten, and Fluffy.
Memorial visitation will be held Friday, January 6, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan. Rd., Zion, IL 60099. Inurnment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago, IL.
