Obituary of Virginia Sjoblad

Virginia A. Sjoblad, age 78, a life long resident of Waukegan, passed away on March 10, 2012. Virginia was born February 27, 1934. She married Jack Sjoblad, and together they raised four children. She retired from Abbott Laboratories after many years of service. Virginia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by four children John (Betty Hernandez) Sjoblad, Richard (Tamara) Sjoblad, Martin Sjoblad and Melanie (Robert) Boyer; six grandchildren Jennifer (Aaron) Thomas, Kimberly (Windell) Piercy, Michael (Jaime) Boyer, Amanda Sewell, Melissa (Brett) Wesenberg, and Valerie Sjoblad; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother Bill Kasper. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack; and two brothers Edward and Frank. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
