Obituary of Joyce Losey

Joyce E. Losey, 79, of Beach Park, IL, died Sunday, June 22, 2008 at home. Joyce was born on January 19, 1929, in Mendota, IL. She married Jean F. Losey on August 13, 1949, at Perkins Grove Church in LaMoille, IL and moved to Waukegan in 1956. She was a longtime active member of Bonnie Brook Baptist Church and a current member of Lake County Baptist Church. Joyce was an active volunteer at the Lake County Baptist School for many years. She also had worked in food service (cafeteria) for the Waukegan Public School System. Joyce was dearly loved by all her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Joyce is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jean F. Losey; children, Gary (Barb) Losey of Bartonville, IL, Don (Debbie) Losey of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Jan (Bruce) Thompson of Beach Park, IL, Cheryl (Bob) Harris of Zion, IL, Mike (Christine House) Losey of Newman, GA, and Mark (Jeannie) Losey of Cary, NC; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Sybil) Schwingle of Albumette, IA; and sister, Marlene (Dick) Lohse of Amboy, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Beatrice Schwingle; three brothers, Paul, Eugene, and Robert Schwingle; and infant son, Timothy. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, with Pastor Ralph Warren of Lake County Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. An interment service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion. Memorial donations are suggested to the Lake County Baptist School
