Obituary of Kenneth Holverson

Kenneth E. Holverson, 68, of Gurnee, Illinois, died on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at home. Kenneth was born April 16, 1940 in Zion. He retired in 2002 from UPS in Northbrook, Illinois after 32 years of service. Kenneth was an avid bowler and he was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Survivors include his two sons, K. Erik Holverson of Gurnee and Mark E. (Diane) Holverson of Winthrop Harbor; two grandsons, Shawn R. Holverson and Jacob D. Holverson both of Winthrop Harbor; siblings, Kathryn (Thomas) Mattice of Wendell, Idaho, V. Glen (Sandra) Holverson of Cookeville, Tennessee, Carl Holverson of Zion, Illinois, Thomas (Deidra) Holverson of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois and Jeanna (Ronald) Kinnick of Milladore, Wisconsin; close friend and uncle, Delmer Holverson of Zion, Illinois; and uncles Lowell Hauenstein and Carroll (Mary Lou) Hauenstein, both of Zion, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diann, in 1999; and his parents Vernon G. and Clova E. Holverson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2008, 1:00 p.m., at the home of his nephew, Scott Holverson, 819 Geddes Avenue, Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choice in his memory has been suggested.
