Obituary of Elizabeth Callam

Elizabeth "Betty" Jean Callam, 65, joined her heavenly creator on, Monday, December 15, 2008,in her daughter's home in Rockford, MI. Betty was born March 19, 1943, in Waukegan, IL, to Albena and Paul Banick, and was a graduate of Waukegan East High School. Besides the few months she spent in Rockford, MI, with her daughter and family, she was a lifelong resident of the Waukegan area. Betty was formerly employed by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission in Deerfield, IL, and was a member of St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan. Her family that will miss her includes her daughter, Mary (Jason) McRell; mother, Albena Banick ; grandchildren, Ryenn and Hayden; brothers, Paul (Barbara) Banick and Joseph (Polly) Banick; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Banick and step-father, Steve Boyke. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 22, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 450 Keller Ave., Waukegan, IL. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Visitation will be Sunday, December 21, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL.
