Obituary of Mario Torres

Mario Torres of Waukegan, IL, died on January 1, 2009. He was born September 3, 1934 in Mexico City DF, Mexico. Mario came to the United States in 1955 and lived in North Chicago until he moved to Waukegan, IL where he lived until his death. Mario will be deeply missed by his family. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Torres and children, Susan (Bobby) Salter, Pattonville, TX; James (Cassie) Petty, Kenosha, WI; Rocio (Fred) Poehlmann, Beach Park; Mario Torres, North Chicago; Leslie Torres, North Chicago; Patricia Torres, Waukegan. Mario also had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored him. Mario is also susrvived by his nephew, Dr. Lorenzo (Irma) Garcia and their children, Mexico City DF, Mexico. Mario worked at Johns-Manville in Waukegan, IL for over 40 years. Mario enjoyed the simple things in life and being with his family. He loved "running the road" with his constant companion and beloved wife Barbara. Mario was a gentle man with a big heart. He was always there for his family and his friends, no questions asked. We love you so much Mario. We will never forget our "Papa Mario". Services will be private for the family. The CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, in charge of arrangements.
