Obituary of Barry Reid

Barry D. Reid, 48 of Zion, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Barry was born May 6, 1960, in Oakland, CA, and married Anita Shrader on March 21, 1998, in Zion. He had been an active union electrician with IBEW #134 in Chicago for 23 years. Barry was a loving husband and father. His grandchildren made his "world go around". Barry is survived by his wife of 11 years, Anita; children, Trevon Reid of Zion, Tiffany, Heather, Melissa, Kyle, and Brian Reid, all of Antigo, WI, Jackie (Bill) Lawson of Beach Park, IL, and Brooke (Steve) McNutt of Zion; grandchildren, Raymond Barry Crum and Hunter Ryan Lawson; mother, Nancy Lowe of California; and sister, Tammy Greenberg of California. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Reid; son, Corey D. Reid; and brother, Brian Reid. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Prayer Garden Church, 2813 20th St., North Chicago, IL, with Elder Rev. Taylor and Elder Lee Rivers, officiating.
