Obituary of Christopher Groomes

Christopher "Chris" Groomes, 17, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, in Kenosha. Christopher was born August 7, 1991, in Lake Forest, Illinois, and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 12 at New Song Ministries Church. Survivors include his mother, Dawn (fiance) Jayson Webb) Wrath of Kenosha, WI; father, Christopher (Jennifer) Groomes of Winthrop Harbor, IL; sisters, Mykalah, Ivy, and Stephanie; brothers, Kelly; grandparents, Steve (Julie) Crye, John and Patti Thompson, Rick and Joanne Groomes, and Genora Arslan; aunts, Stephanie Graves, Megan Thompson, and Kristina Mauldin; uncle, Jeff Groomes; and numerous cousins and other loved ones. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL, with Pastor Dave Adams of New Song Ministries Church of Zion, officiating. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment is private for the family.
