Obituary of Thomas Eng

Thomas Eng ,69, of Waukegan, IL, went to be with our Lord on Monday, February 9, 2009, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Thomas was born on January 6, 1940, in New York, NY. He grew up in New York City >s Chinatown, and was a graduate of Columbia University College of Pharmacy. Thomas also earned his MBA from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He moved to Waukegan in 1970 and built a life-long career at Abbott Laboratories, retiring in 2003. Thomas was a loving husband, wonderful father, and devout Christian, with active involvement in the Chinese Christian Union Church in Chicago, IL. He was an active golfer and fisherman, and enjoyed traveling in his retirement years, Survivors include his wife, Anna; sons, Richard (Lena) Eng and Keith (Melody) Eng; and six grandchildren, Josiah, Andrew, Jocelyn, Grace, Kara, and Nathan. He was preceeded in death by his grandson, Noah, in October, 2008. A Memorial Service is planned for Thomas at the Chinese Christian Union Church in Chicago.
