Obituary of William Adams

William C. Adams passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Vista East in Waukegan, Illinois after fighting a long battle with colon cancer. He was born on August 18, 1927 in Alton, Illinois and came to Waukegan in 1946. He was a Merchant Marine of World War II and also worked as a professional painter for many years and was a Boys Scout Master at Andrew Cook School and the Eagles Club. William loved to work in his yard and gardening and enjoyed fishing with his sons and playing with his loving dog Pebbles. William was preceded in death by his beautiful June Bride of 59 years Lola Mae, his mother Helen Norine and his father William Clay, brother Harry Edward, sister Mary Lou Johnson. William is survived by his brother Andrew and his wife Pat Adams, sister Helen Marie and her husband Jack Townley, sons, Kevin, Sam and Roy, daughters Nona Adams and Paula White, son in-law David White, daughter in-laws Myrna, Trina and Syndie Adams, granddaughters, Carina, Larissa, Tara and Candice Adams, Crystal and Kenny Lupe, grandsons, David, Daniel and Dorian Moctezuma, step grandsons Brian and Sean Chaney, seven great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life party will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 5:30pm-8:30pm at the American legion, 749 Milwaukee Avenue, Gurnee, Illinois 60031. In lieu of flowers please make your donations to the American Cancer Society.
