Obituary of Robert Musick

Robert E. Musick, 69, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, died on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, surrounded by his family. Robert was born October 17, 1939 in Fulton, MO. He lived for many years in Piedmont, MO and moved to Lake County in 1980. He graduated from Fulton High School and the University of Missouri, School of Pharmacy, Kansas City, MO. He was an active member and elder of First Christian Church of Kenosha. Robert joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America in 1993 and was currently Vice President of Pharmacy Services. He was also an active volunteer for Assistance in Healthcare Foundation, Northpoint Achievement Center, and he participated in many Chamber of Commerce and Lions Clubs events. He enjoyed fine wine, playing golf, fishing, traveling, throwing dice and playing cards. Survivors include his two daughters, Debbie (Jim) Mercier of St. Louis, MO and Kelli Musick Persinger of Lee's Summit, MO; five grandchildren, Sarah and Brian Mercier, and Clark, Corinne "Cori", and Cailyn Persinger; two sisters, Jane (Harvey) Cutler of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Margaret (Jerry) Colmer of Gold Canyon, AZ; and several loving nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Jackie, on January 24, 2008; one brother, Allen Musick; and his parents, Allen Bruce and Irinne Musick. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church, 13022 Wilmot Road (Hwy C), half a mile West of I-94, Kenosha, WI, with Pastor Brian Henry officiating. Visitations will be held on Sunday, May 3rd from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at First Christian Church. Memorial donations to Assistance in Healthcare Foundation of Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Midwestern Regional Medical Center, 2520 Emmaus Avenue, Zion, IL 60099 have been suggested.
