Obituary of Wanda Point

Wanda Alice Point Wanda Alice Point, 83, of Zion , formerly of Round Lake Beach, died on Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Rolling Hills Manor in Zion. Wanda was born April 28,1926, in Waukegan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include her husband, of 58 years, Norman L. Point of Zion; daughters, Sylvia "Jeannie" (fiancé Kevin Mitchell ) Wimmer of Zion, and Suzanne (Jack) Urban of Winthrop Harbor; sons, Norman L. "Jake" (Debbie) Point Jr. of Round Lake Beach, Edward (Kim) Point of Round Lake Beach, and Kevin (Janice) Point of Kenosha, and daughter, Sheri (James) Shields of Fox Lake, IL; 12 grandchildren, (including her very special granddaughter, Hillary Wimmer); 5 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Paddy Coady of Fox Lake; son-in-law, Lawrence Wimmer; and very dear friends, Steve and Mary Albertson and their family. She was preceded in death her parents, William and Anna Shorman; son, William Coady in 2005; sister, Laura Shorman; brother, Cecil Shorman; and nephew, William Shorman. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 3, 2009, from 5:00-8:00 p.m at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment is private for the family.
