Sally Su DeTienne, nee Cook, 73, of Zion, IL, loving wife of Lloyd DeTienne, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2009, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan.
Sally was born February 29, 1936, "A Leap Year Baby", in Zion, IL. She was formerly employed with Hamming, Hamming, and Dugan of Gurnee, IL. Sally was a member of Trinity Christian Center, Zion, IL, and loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all of her heart. She was a member of T.O.P.S. and enjoyed traveling with her husband. She will be profoundly missed by all of her family.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Lloyd DeTienne; children, Teri (Scott) Davenport of New Baltimore, MI, Wanda (Doug) Pince of Marshfield, WI, Douglas (Donna) DeTienne of Silver Lake, WI, LeAnn (Dean) Fischer of Marshfield, WI; grandchildren, Matthew DeTienne-Davenport, Mandi DeTienne-Ledezma, Aaron Pince, Barry Pince, Lindsay DeTienne. Megan DeTienne, and Talisa Fischer; and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Earl and Elizabeth Cook; sister, Norma Eagle; and great-grandson, Zion Sonny DeTienne Davenport.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Christian Center, 2600 Lewis Ave., Zion, with Pastor Tim Eddy, officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at the church. Memorial donations are suggested to the the Missions Fund of Trinity Christian Center.
