Obituary of Donald Collins

Donald G. Collins Jr., 57, of Beach Park, Illinois, died suddenly on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at home. Don was born December 25, 1951 in Waukegan. After graduating from Our Lady of Humility School in Beach Park and Carmel High School in Mundelein, he went on to Quincy College in Quincy, Illinois where he was going for degrees in Psychology and Education. He worked in Social Services in the Chicago suburbs. Survivors include his mother, Norma E. Collins of Beach Park; and one sister, Denise D. (Santos R. Rivera Jr.) Collins of Park City. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald G. Collins Sr. in 2002. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, June 25th, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Memorial donations to your favorite charity in his name have been suggested.
