Nicole Abraham

Nicole "Niki" Alexis Abraham, 24, of St Francis, WI, and formerly of Lake County, IL, died on Monday, July 6, 2009, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital, Milwaukee, WI. Niki was born April 14, 1985, in Waukegan, IL, and was a 2003 graduate of Zion-Benton Township High School. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin Parkside in 2008. Niki was employed as a paralegal for the law firm of Halloin-Murdoch in Milwaukee. She loved painting in watercolor and acrylic. Niki was a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. She was an avid reader. Survivors include her mother, Carol Abraham of Winthrop Harbor, IL; father, Michael Abraham of Beach Park, IL; sisters, Jennifer (Kourt) Salt of Wadsworth, IL, and Kathryn (Nathan) Hucker of Kenosha, WI; long time boyfriend, Adam VanderVeen of St. Francis, WI; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Merilyn Valencic, and Iver and Mary Sorensen. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Rd., Beach Park. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Visitation will be Friday, July 10, 2009, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL.
