Obituary of Jovina Klemin

Jovina A. Klemin Jovina A. Klemin, 88, of Zion, died on Monday, July 13, 2009, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. She was born May 16, 1921, in Carroll, IA, to Frederick and Alma Tillman. Jovina married Albert Klemin on May 17, 1974, in Waukegan. She co-owned with her husband, Klemin Commercial Cleaners in Zion. Jovina was a member of the Zion Moose #667, the AARP, and the Zion Senior Center. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Jovina enjoyed cooking and playing cards. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Albert Klemin; sons, Fred Nielsen of Gurnee, IL, and Loren Smith of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Cheryl (Smith) Peters of Zion; granddaughters, April Peters of Waukegan and P.J. Nielsen of Gurnee, IL; grandsons, Phillip Peters of Zion and Brendan Clay Smith of Georgia; and great-grandchildren, Aaron and Samantha. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Smith; and her parents. A cemetery committal service for friends and relatives will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Olivet Memorial Park Chapel, 1436 Kenosha Rd., Zion. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Z.P.D. Senior Citizen Group, 2400 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion, IL 60099.
