Obituary of Rolland Capp

Rolland Leroy Capp "Ron" Rolland "Ron" Leroy Capp, 87, of Zion, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2009, in Zion. Ron was born on September 5, 1922, in Zion and was a member of the first graduating class of Zion Benton Township High School in 1939. Upon graduation, he worked for Zion Industries/ Zion Bakery Transportation Division. He was hired in 1940 by Johnson Outboard Motors, Waukegan, IL and worked in various divisions until he retired as a Regional Sales Manager for the Midwest/USA in 1981. He is survived by his children, Pete (Gina) Capp of Beach Park, IL, Gail Capp-Henry of Lockport, IL, Jo Anne Capp-Thomas of Houston, TX, Julie Capp-Wilton of Dryden, MI; ten grandchildren; sister, Evelyn (John) Faassen of Barrington, IL; brother, Clifton (Dottie) Capp of Northbrook, IL; sister, Ethel June Capp of Kenosha, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Marvin; and sister, Elizabeth Hammerslag. Visitation will be Friday, October 9, 2009, from 10-11:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Dr., Zion, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary.
