Obituary of Geraldine Casey

Geraldine "Gerry" Casey, 78, of Zion, IL died on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital, Milwaukee, WI. Geraldine was born May 6, 1931 in Waukegan and was a lifelong Lake County resident. She married the late Hearl Casey of Shawneetown, IL on May 5, 1951. Geraldine retired from Veterans Canteen Center in North Chicago in 1992. She was a member of Zion-Benton Women of the Moose, was the first secretary of Big Z Riding Club, was a member of Rebel Saddle Club and she was a volunteer at Christian Assembly of God Church Food Pantry in Zion. She is survived by three daughters and two sons; Jill (Harry) McKenzie of Waukegan, Jim (Kathie) Casey of Zion, Rick (Debbie) Casey of Zion, Tami (Mike) Patton of Winthrop Harbor, and Lisa Casey of Zion; Special nephew, Bill Coffos of Arizona; grandchildren, Stacey Clark, Heather Anderson, Mandy Casey, Chad Casey, Chris Patton, Danielle McKenzie, Matthew Patton, Megan Patton and Haylee Scott; great grandchildren, Casey Clark, Kelsey Robinson, Cameron Clark, and Karson Robinson, one brother, Charles (Brenda) Fagan of Ingleside; sisters, Jean (Bill) Coffos of Tucson, Arizona, JoAnn (Carl) Cepon of Gurnee, Judy (Ed) Fojtik of Ingleside, and JoDell (Dale) Meier of Irving, IL; and numerous wanna-be children, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hearl in 2003; parents, Bud and Maxine Fagan; sister, Janet Cullum; and brother, Bobby Fagan. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Private interment services will be held at a later at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to Christian Assembly of God Church Food Pantry, 2929 Bethel Blvd., Zion, IL 60099 have been suggested.
