Obituary of Janet Elrod

Janet Marie Elrod, 66. of Zion, Illinois, died on Friday, January 22, 2010 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, following a long illness with Multiple Sclerosis. Janet was born June 24, 1943 in Waukegan and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a member of Lakeview Church of Zion. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Murvin; two sons, James (Kris Kent) Elrod of Racine, Wisconsin and Christopher (Janet) Elrod of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois; two grandchildren, Nathan and Christian Elrod; her father and mother, William and Mary Young of Waukegan; one brother, James (Elizabeth) Young of Belleville, Wisconsin; and one sister, Joyce (Roger) Solley of Fairfield, Texas. Visitation will be Monday, January 25, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 26th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home with Pastor Les Martin of Lakeview Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Memorial donations to Multiple Sclerosis Society in her name has been suggested.
