Obituary of John Barr

John Thomas Barr, 49, Pleasant Prairie, Wi, formerly of Zion, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010. John was born on February 2, 1961, in Oak Park, IL, and was a co-owner of El Lago Restaurant in Zion. Previously he had experience working as a printer. John continues to be a much loved family member, a loving father and grandfather who will be missed tremendously but never forgotten. John is survived by children, John (Janet) Barr of Delavan, WI, and Diane (J. Carlos) Ibarra of Pleasant Prairie, WI; grandchildren, Daisi and Joshua Barr, Sonia and Carlos Ibarra, and Katey Barr; mother, Diane (Art) Falvey of Lake Oswego, OR; father, John (Karen) Barr of Zion, IL; sister, Kellie Bowman of Tigard, OR; brother, Christopher Barr of Carol Stream, IL; former wife of many years, Teodosia Barrera; uncle, Jim (Carole) Michalsen of Huntley, IL: aunts, Cheryl (James) Maloney of Elmwood Park, IL, and Harriet (Duane) Olson of Beloit, WI; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL. Visitation will be Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
