Obituary of Richard Krapf

Richard C. "Ricky" Krapf, 64, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, died on Friday, May 18, 2012. Ricky was born September 19, 1947, in Waukegan, IL, and was a member of Christ Community Church in Zion, IL. He had been employed for over 30 years at Northpointe Resources in Zion. Ricky was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed competing in the Special Olympics where he was the winner of many medals. Survivors include sister, Candy Krapf of Winthrop Harbor, IL; four aunts, Mary Weston of Downey, CA, Bernice Krapf of Zion, IL, Carol (Vernon) Krapf of Beach Park, IL, and Elaine Hough of Pleasant Prairie, WI; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Emerson "Bud" and Evelyn"Mae" Krapf; and other family. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL, with Pastor Jon Wiziarde of Christ Community Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
