Obituary of Joseph Angelos

Joseph R. Angelos Jr. "Joe" 62, of Waukegan, IL, died on Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Sheridan Health Care in Zion. Joe was born December 4, 1947, in Waukegan and was a graduate of Waukegan Township High School. He married Patricia Matthews on February 3, 1973, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waukegan. Joe served with the United States Army Reserves. He was retired from the Waukegan Water Department where he worked as a Senior Pump Operator. Joe loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and also enjoyed horseshoes, pool, and golf. Survivors include his wife Patricia of Waukegan; son, Russell "Rusty" Scott of Alabama; grandsons, Zakery and T.J. Scott; brother, Larry Angelos of Waukegan; many nieces and nephews; and dear friend; Robert "Butch" Larsen. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph R. Angelos III; sister, Kathleen Angelos; father and mother, Joseph Sr. and Josephine Angelos; and sister-in-law, Eilie Angelos. Visitation will be Monday, October 11, 2010, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A Chapel Entombment Service will be held on Tuesday, October 12, at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL., at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations are suggested to a charity of your choice.
