Obituary of Lonnie Russell

Lonnie "LonBon Duckets" Dean Russell Jr, 34, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois went home to be with his Lord on Monday December 27, 2010 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Lonnie was born December 18, 1976 in Waukegan and grew up in the area under the caring and watchful eye of his loving and extensive immediate family. At the age of 9 he was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy but was too interested in his life passions to let much slow him down. Lonnie was an avid NASCAR fan (with 24 being his favorite number) and had a passion for technology as he dissected computer systems and diligently managed his personal computer home network. Lonnie also cherished the "lively side of life" as a proud uncle to Lili, Nina, Aleks and Stephan and was a full time advocate for his 2 full grown German Shepherds (Buddy and Buster) and French Mastiff (Sissy). Lonnie brought a lifetime of joy to his Mother and Father Mary Ann and Dean Russell Sr. and was a loving brother to Jamey Russell and Chrissy (Alex) Dupor of Gurnee. His immediate family includes grandmothers Audrey "Nanny" Orawiec and Lucille Russell, uncles and aunts Krystyna (Lou) Tricoli, Michael (Regina) Orawiec, Barb (Tim) Rossmann, Tony (Tracy) Orawiec, Eugene (June) Russell and Dwayne (Sherry) Russell and numerous cousins and other loved ones in the area. He was preceded in death by this cousin Timothy Rossmann Jr. and Grandfathers Karol "Poppy" Orawiec and Elmer Russell. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Il. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, January 5th, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, Beach Park, IL.
