Obituary of Sally Manson

Sally J. Manson, 65, of Zion, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. She was born September 4, 1945, in Oak Park, IL, and was a graduate of Oak Park-River Forest High School. Sally married Samuel Chester Manson on February 26, 1966, in Bel-Air, MD. She had been employed as an accounting clerk for numerous firms. Sally was a loving wife and mother. Her main hobby was needle-point. Sally is survived by her husband of 44 years, Samuel; son, Robert Manson of Zion, IL; daughter, Carol Manson, also of Zion; and several nieces and nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Marjorie Smith; brother, Robert Smith; sisters, Julia Towery and Patsy Coffey; and an infant son. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m until the time of service at the funeral home.
