Obituary of Cathy Barlow

Cathy A. Barlow, 50, of Waukegan, Illinois, died on Friday, February 25, 2011 unexpectedly at home. Cathy was born November 7, 1960 in Portsmouth, Virginia and moved to Illinois in 1973. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Illinois University and was currently employed as a substitute teacher for Zion Elementary Schools while working towards her Masters Degree in Education. Survivors include her father, James Barlow of Waukegan; two brothers, James (Lori) Barlow Jr. of Beach Park, Illinois and Mike (fiancé Tammy Owens) Barlow of Indianapolis, Indiana; and three nieces and one nephew, Bonnie, Christopher, Michelle and Melissa Barlow. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Barlow; and one nephew, Sean Barlow. Services were private for the family. CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a local humane society has been suggested.
