Obituary of Violet Johnson

Violet G. Johnson, 90, of Waukegan, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at home. Violet was born September 22, 1920, in Gaastra, MI, and married her late husband, Jalmer Johnson in 1938. Violet formerly owned Johnson's Greenhouse in Waukegan. She was a member of the Moose Club and the 1st Presbyterian Church of Waukegan. She was a loving mother and friend. Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Burlingame of TX; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jalmer; grandson, Alan Burlingame; three sisters; one brother; and son-in-law, Ray Burlingame. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd Zion, IL. Interment will be at a later date at Rest Haven Cemetery, Iron River, Michigan
