Charles "Chuck" Clark, 77, of Beach Park, IL and Astor, FL passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 28, 1934 in Hamilton, AL and came to Zion in 1949. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Zion. Chuck and his wife owned and operated Clark's Lounge in Beach Park for 36 years. He was a member of the Moose Club of both Zion, IL and Astor, FL and Masonic Lodge #78 of Waukegan, IL. He was also a member of Midwest Bus Nuts Club and enjoyed traveling in his R.V. as well as riding his Harley with his friends, being with his family, telling stories, and tending to his vegetable garden. Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Glenda; one daughter Leah (Don) Straight of Spring Grove, IL; five grandchildren Nicole (Clayton) Schaefer, Carli Dahlke, Jaide Dahlke, Andrew Straight, and Abigail Straight; five sisters Johnny Holloway of Hamilton, AL, Geneva (Charles) Cox of Birmingham, AL, Betty (Earl) Bass of Haleyville, AL, Ettie Mae (Kenneth) Aldridge of Glen Ellen, AL, and Jeri (Jimmie) Goggans of Detroit, AL; one brother Gene (Mary) Clark of Zion, IL; and his faithful companion "Chewy". He was preceded in death by his daughter Rhonda Christenson; one brother Hugh Clark; and his parents Largus and Mamie Clark. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 2, 2011, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL, where Masonic Services will be held at 7:30 p,m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd, at 10:30 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home with Pastor Kwadwo Ntim officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Memorial United Methodist Church have been suggested,
