Obituary of Gary Steede

Gary L. 63, of Beach Park, formerly of Zion, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Gary was born March 21, 1948, in Ishpeming, MI, and was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church in Beach Park. He was a 20 year past employee of Dexter Midland in Waukegan and a current employee of Our Lady of Humility Church. Gary was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Survivors include four children, Brenda (Manuel) Garza of Waukegan, IL, Gary (Brittany) Steede Jr. of Littleton, CO, Gracie Hinojosa of Mundelein, IL, and Elizabeth (Cesar) Guerrero of Waukegan, IL; fifteen grandchildren, Lucina (Adrian) Moreno, Kasandra Garza, Manuel Garza Jr., Fernando Garza, Kyle Steede, Jared Steede, Talley Steede, Aidan Steede, Deah Steede, Jose Hinojosa Jr., Robert Ibarra, Tiffany Conhartowski, Jonathan Guerrero, Selena Guerrero, and Brandon Guerrero; one great-grandchild, Luisa Campos; one sister; three brothers; and nieces and nephews and other family. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Fernando Hinojosa; one brother; his parents; and ex-wife, Mary Talley. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth, Rd., Beach Park. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church.
