Raiannah Marshall

Obituary of Raiannah Marshall

Raiannah Dream Was born, May 4, 2001 in Columbus, Georgia. She was granted her angel wings on August 4, 2011. She had spent the last 30 days with her family in Columbus, surrounded by grandparents, brothers, sisters, more family and friends that Raiannah had touched in some small way, throughout her short, yet very memorable ten years of living. Raiannah's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds quantity of time in which you live it. Her gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around her and though she had moved to Waukegan, Illinois from her home in Columbus, Georgia, her voice, her laughter, and thoughts could always be heard. Raiannah created lasting memories for all of us. She was a student at Greenwood, Elementary in Waukegan. She could sit quietly playing on the computer. There is actually a game where she could bake a cake. She was a talented artist and nature lover. She loved drawing butterflies, dragonflies and the Powerpuff girls. She told us often that she wanted to be an art teacher. Raiannah could be affectionate and would welcome hugs and kisses from those that she treasured. She loved the color green, playing with her sister Andr'annah and finding subtle ways of keeping her youngest and busiest sister Iyannah from taking over her room. Raiannah loved spending the summer in Columbus, and sending her PaPa Turner to the store with a list of things to purchase that she had carefully written. She loved playing with her older brother, Michael when she came to Columbus, but was always happy when she returned to her family in Waukegan. With Raiannah's passing we remind ourselves that her life is one to be celebrated, and although we will miss her every day, especially her beautiful smile, she will always remain forever in our hearts. We are so thankful that she was able to be with her family in Columbus this summer, and to make the journey home to Waukegan before the angels came to take her to her eternal home where there is no pain or sadness. We will all hold dear the memory of her gentle spirit. Raiannah is survived by her parents Andre and Hazel Farley, sisters Andr' annah and Iyannah, of the home in Waukegan; her father, Capt. Michael Campbell, brothers Sean, and Xavier, and sister Aubree of Ft. Campbell, KY; brother Michael Jones of Columbus; Maternal Grandparents, Wayne Christopher and Mary Hall of Waukegan, Paternal Grandparents, Turner and Jeanette Williams, (Columbus); Paternal Grandparents, Freddie and Barbara Farley, Columbus; Uncles Jeffrey Farley (Sabrina), Atlanta; Aunt, Christiana Farley, Columbus; Aunt Patrice Smith, Chicago; Great Grandmother, Thelma Sterling, Columbus; Great Grandmother, Mattie White, Chicago; Great Grandmother, Jessie Streeter and Great Grandfather, Roosevelt Daniels (Sarah) and a host of Great Uncles and Great Aunts.
