Obituary of Violet Roti

Violet M. Roti, 69, of Beach Park, IL, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan Violet was born November 24, 1941, in Red Lake, MN, and worked as a waitress for many years in many restaurants in the Lake County area. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include her children, Roxanne (Mike) Chapa of Waukegan, IL and Jerry (Theresa) Vasquez of Waukesha, WI; former husband and best friend, Larry Vasquez of Waukegan, IL; grandchildren, Nolan, Amber, Nathan, Zachary, Madelynn, Trey, Mallory, and Chloe; great-grandchildren, Irissa, Timothy, and Tyler; brothers, Jim (Della) Jones of Cass Lake, MN, and Roger Jones of Chaska, MN; sisters, Sherian (Ocar) Mercado of Beach Park, IL, and Gloria Jones of Bemidji, MN; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Vasquez in 2010; and her parents, Arthur and Katherine Jones. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday August 13, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Friends may greet the family on Saturday from 5:00 p.m until the time of service at the funeral home.
