Obituary of Trixie Ibsh

Trixie M. Ibsh 91, of Zion, IL, died on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, IL. She was born January 5, 1920 in Hamilton, Alabama and came to Zion in 1945. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church of Zion. She retired after thirty years at Johns-Manville in Waukegan. Trixie was also a member of Millburn Lodge Eastern Star, Zion Park District Senior Citizens, the J-M Club. and she enjoyed traveling, Survivors include her daughter-in-law Jan Davis of Winthrop Harbor, IL; one grandson Kenneth Bruce (Beverly) Davis of Winthrop Harbor, IL; one sister Mary Janice McCarley of Zion, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard in 1983; her son Kenneth D. Davis; four sisters; two brothers; and her parents Raymond and Ida Post. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 24, 2011, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church, 2935 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Kwadwo Ntim and Rev. Les Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL. Memorial donations to Memorial United Methodist Church have been suggested.
