Obituary of Virginia Bleck

Virginia E. Bleck, 82, of Beach Park, IL died on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Aurora Hospital in Kenosha, WI. Virginia was born December 22, 1929 in Waukegan. She was a longtime member Our Lady of Humility Church of Beach Park. Virginia was an artist, designer, and was a freelance illustrator for Hallmark greeting cards for 22 years. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 61 years Thomas; children Dr. Thomas G. (Marcia) Bleck of Wadsworth, IL, James (Jane) Bleck of Chelmsford, MA, Catherine (Dr. George) Muschler of Cleveland Heights, OH, Marilynn (Cabell) Cobbs of Irvine, CA, Robert (Patricia) Bleck of Libertyville, IL, Susan (Daniel) Gibbs of Dublin, OH, Linda (Dr. David) Mai of Mequon, WI, John Bleck of Beach Park, IL, and Charles (Linda Chiu) Bleck of Chicago, IL; twenty-two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister Florence Rush of St. Petersburg, FL; one brother-in-law William Roy of Beach Park, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter Katie Bleck; one sister Dorothy Roy; her brother-in-law Dr. Joseph Rush; and her parents George and Eugena Pavlik. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, August 25, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park, IL. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation will be Friday, August 24th, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Memorial donations to the Katie Bleck Scholarship Fund have been suggested. Checks made out to the fund can be sent c/o: Jim and Jane Bleck, 58 High Street, Chelmsford, MA 01824.
