Janice M. Bruner, 56, of Kenosha, WI, formerly of Beach Park, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at St. Joseph's Home in Kenosha, WI.
Janice was born on November 27, 1954, in Stevens Point, WI, and was a graduate of Warren Township High School in Gurnee. She married Virgil "Peter" Bruner on April 19, 1980, in Waukegan. Janice was a member of St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan where she served as a Eucharistic Member. She also belonged to the 3rd Order of Carmelites. Years ago she was a Chaplain at the former Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include a brother, Conrad Yach of Wildwood, IL; sister, Darlene (Ron) Riesbeck of Lake Villa, IL; nephew, Scott (Cindy) Yach of Winthrop Harbor, IL; nieces, Kaycee (Nick) Hamilton of Lake Villa, IL, Michelle (Steve) Rubino of Light House Point, FL, and Jennifer Yach of Kenosha, WI; nephew, Rob Riesbeck of Champaign, IL; and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband in 2006; and parents, Steve and Luella Yach.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anastasia Church, 624 Douglas Ave., Waukegan, IL. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Memorial donations are suggested to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the St. Joseph's Home.
