Obituary of Cheri Lynn Dodd Turner

Cheri Lynn Dodd Turner, 39, of Byhalia, MS, formerly of Beach Park, IL, died August 7, 2016. Cheri was born January 26, 1977 in Waukegan, IL. She attended middle school in Beach Park, IL and graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School. She was a dental assistant and volunteer fire-fighter for Beach Park. Cheri enjoyed playing and watching sports and was a die-hard Cubs fan. Cheri loved spending time with her family. She leaves behind her husband, Joseph Shane Turner; daughter Alissa Kalie Scarff; son Elijah Shane Dodd; father Bobby Dodd Jr.; step-mother Valerie Dodd; brother Bobby Dodd III; nephews Andrew Rhea and Bobby Dodd IV; niece Jasmine Dodd; 3 step-sisters; 1 step-nephew; and 3 step-nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother Angela Wolff-Dodd; and grandparents Bobby Dodd Sr. and Barbara Dodd. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
