Obituary of Gladys Hoover

Gladys F. Hoover, Age 89, (nee, Hazel) of Sun City, AZ, formerly of Zion, IL, died on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at home in Sun City. Gladys was born September 13, 1922, in Zion, IL. She married her late husband, Raymond Hoover, on January 4, 1940, in Franklin, KY. Gladys was a member of the Sun Village Community Church in Surprise, AZ. She loved fishing trips with the family, liked to bowl and golf, and had a ready smile of encouragement for everyone. Gladys is survived by three sons, Lonny R. (Barb) Hoover of Urbana, IL, Earl (Ros) Hoover of Libertyville, IL, and Daniel (Pat) Hoover of Broomfield, CO; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond; and three brothers, Sam, Glenn, and Lloyd Hazel. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
