Obituary of Ruby Hoover

Ruby J. Hoover, 68, of Winthrop Harbor, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2011. Born in Lee county, Mississippi on September 15, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Ona (Pratt) Box. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Ona (Pratt) Box, her 3 brothers, Clyde Box, Billy Box, Bob Box, her son Larry Allan Johnson and her grand daughter Jessica Quiggley. Ruby Leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband Darwin Hoover of 27 years, her children, Steven (Barb) Rixie, Dewayne Rixie, Brenda (Bob) Koch, Teresa Copeland, Darwin (Butch) Hoover, Michael (Susan) Hoover, Sherri (Inocensio) Vazquez, Traci (Joe) Hoover and Shawna Hoover. Her 17 Grandchildren: Robbie Rixie, Vanessa Rixie, Shane Rixie, Jessie Rixie, Justin Rixie, Johnny Hanlon, Nicole Kreis, Nathan (Caitlin) Griffith, Jamey Estep, Jeffery Hoover, Jacob Hoover, Beth Lohfink, Terri DeCaro, Brittany Vazquez, Christopher Vazquez, Sophia Vazquez and Marrissa DeGrazio. Her 9 great grandchildren: Dakota, Ciarra, Skyla, Bryce, Brianna, Michael, Ryan, Andrew and Rahjna. Visitation will be held October 29, 2011 at 10AM, followed by a service at the First Baptist Church, 3001 W. 9th Street, Winthrop Harbor, IL. Food will be served and donations to the family to help for financial hardships would be greatly appreciated.
