Obituary of Mike J. Walczak

Michael Jon Walczak, 63, of Beach Park, IL, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2018, surrounded by his family. Mike was an avid bowler, loved to fish, play cards and loved family get- togethers.  He worked for Averus Co. for over 30 years.

He is survived by his son, Mikey (Heather) Walczak of Tucson, AZ, mother, Gloria Kulla of Gurnee, IL, life partner of 30 years, Sherry Bickett, sister, Joy (Rick) Palacek of Elk Mound, WI, brother, John (Lisa) Walczak of Wadsworth, IL, nieces; Alisha (Jeremy) Boettcher, Jenna and Madison Walczak, nephew, Jake (Danielle) Berger, aunt, Janie (Dick) McDonald, cousins, Sharon Lehnert and Wendy (Randy) Buvala, Sherry’s daughters Kim (Marc) Henderson and Dawn (Dave) Townsend and his faithful companion Max.

He is preceded in death by his step father, George Kulla and grandparents, John and Vernie Rosinski.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, IL on Saturday, March 3rd 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m..  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
