Obituary of Bernard A. Farnham

Bernard A. Farnham, age 83, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, passed away on Wednesday,  May 16, 2018 at his residence, with his family beside him.

He was born in Rochelle, IL on May 4, 1935, the son of the late Bernard R. Farnham and Alda Cote.

Bernard attended St. Nazinaz Seminary in St. Nazianz, WI and later attended St. Procopius in Lisle, IL.  He and Gloria Calhoun, his spouse for the last 65 years, married at St. Patricks Church in Rochelle, IL. He was employed for 37 years at the New Sun and 17 years at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion.  He was a member of Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church.

Surviving Bernard are his wife Gloria, three children; Denise (Jim) Hladnik of Lindenhurst, IL, Cynthia (Dennis) Frost of Appleton, WI and Bernard C. Farnham of Pleasant Prairie, WI, five grandchildren; Jordan and Taylor Farnham, James (Elizabeth) Hladnik, Lindsay (J.T.) Williams, Joseph (Christina) Hladnik, two great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church 10655 W. Wadsworth Rd. Zion, IL. At 11:00 a.m.. A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of mass.  Interment will follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery.
