Obituary of Catherine Carla Grams

Catherine “Cathy” Carla Grams (63), resident of Walworth, Wisconsin (formerly Zion, Illinois), passed away on the 12th of July following a long battle with illness.  She was born in Wakefield, Michigan on the 14th of October, 1954 to Carl and Senia Keski (née Sironen). Early in life she moved to Waukegan, IL where she later married her husband Patrick in 1976.  In her career she was a Licensed Practical Nurse and later worked in Early Childhood Education in North Chicago and Zion.  Cathy was a devoted Christian who touched many people’s lives through her writing and sharing of poetry and scrapbooks.

Surviving Cathy are her husband Patrick Grams; brother Kevin (Mary Anne) Keski, brother in law Michael (Lois) Grams; daughter Elizabeth (Ernie) Tuchscherer; sons Matthew Grams and Mark Grams; nieces Carrie (Kevin) Pietschman and Chrissy Grams (Aaron)-Schnelle; nephew Robert Kohler;  and five grandchildren: Matias Tuchscherer, Bode Tuchscherer, Finn Tuchscherer, Greyson Grams, and Hayden Grams. 

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister (Karen Kohler).

A visitation will be held at St Mark’s Church at 3350 N Delaney Rd, Waukegan, IL on Friday the 27th of July.  Visitation for family will begin at 8:30am, 9:00am for all others.  The funeral service will commence at 11:00am and will be followed by a luncheon for all attendees.  Inurnment will be private.
