Obituary of Norma J. Royce

Norma Jean Royce, 86, of Pleasant Prairie, WI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. 

Norma was born on June 21, 1932 in Zion, IL to Harry and Doris (Casperson) Luther.  She lived in Zion for more than 50 years and was also a resident of Lakewood, WI for 30 years.  She attended Zion Benton Township High School, a graduate of the class of 1950 and was a member of Southport Baptist Church in Kenosha, WI. She enjoyed spending time with her family, meeting with her “gals” at monthly high school luncheons, quilting, baking and gardening.  She loved dogs – particularly fond of Dachshunds.  Most of all, she loved and served the Lord.   

Norma is survived by her children, Jerry (Diane) Winslow and Tom (Dusica) Winslow; step-children, Greg (MaryAnn) Royce, Mike (Patty) Royce and Scott (Missy) Royce; brother Roger (Mona) Luther, sister Barbara (Charlie) Lotz; grandchildren Aaron, Ryan, Max and Kalina; great-grandchildren Eli and Kat; and 5 step-grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Royce; and brother, James Luther. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 7:00 p.m. at Southport Baptist Church, 13266 Wilmot Road (Cty. C), Kenosha, WI 53142.  Interment will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, 1436 Kenosha Road, Zion, IL 60099.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lighthouse Christian Camp, 205 Serenity Place, Smithville, TN 37166.
