Obituary of Elbert M. Robinson Jr.

Elbert M. Robinson Jr., 93, of Albany, WI, died January 26, 2019 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI.

Elbert was born February 9, 1925 in Smithville, MS.  Elbert married Willodean Shotts on May 10, 1948 in Bexar, AL.  He attended High School and G.I. School in Hamilton, AL.  Elbert served with the United States Army for 2 years, serving in France, Germany and Austria.  He retired as an electrician after 43 years with Revis Electric in Zion, IL.  He was a member of the Zion-Benton American Legion.

Elbert is survived by his wife, Willodean Robinson; children, Barry W. (Sherrie) Robinson, and Patricia G. (Lorry) LaBelle; grandchildren, Mark L. (April) LaBelle, Kimberly D. (Benjamin) Ackert, Heather L. (Adam) Siegenthaler; Daniel W. (Katie) Robinson, Amy E. (Paul) Rhody; great-grandchildren, Tristan M. LaBelle, Miranda B. (Addison) Boyer, Stephen M. LaBelle, Clara Ackert, Nickolas Ackert, Rachel Ackert, Jacob Ackert, Jane Ackert, Gavin Rhody, Millie Siegenthaler, Paige Siegenthaler, Olivia Robinson, Jack Robinson; step-great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn LaBelle, Justin Millicardi, Darrin Millicardi, Rylan Tyler, and Myra Denlinger; siblings, Brenda (Charlie) Collum, David Robinson, and Virginia Joiner; and other surviving relatives, Joy Robinson, Jeffrey (Terri) Robinson, Lana (Mac) McNees, Steve (Alisa) Robinson, Chris (Tanya) Robinson, Sharon (Roger) Swarat, Marilyn Ferguson, Martha Holley, Carol Ellen Gann, Scott Gann, Linda Murray, James Murray, and other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Jessemere Robinson; brother, Grady Robinson; Olivia Holley, Mary Ellen Gann, Maxine Murray, Vera Belle Shotts, Edith Mae Robinson, and Douglas Lowell Robinson.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion.  Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Mt.
