Obituary of Antoinette H. Simon

Antoinette H. Simon, 53, formerly of Waukegan, IL made her transition from Earth to glory on Saturday, May 4, 2019.  Antoinette was born March 31, 1966 at Highland Park Hospital as a twin and the oldest child of three to the union of Calvin and Luerie Simon.

Antoinette attended Waukegan East High School where she graduated in 1984 and then went on to the College of Lake County.  She moved to Milwaukee in 1992 where she would remain and excel as a manager at Pyramax Bank.

Antoinette loved family, working with children at the African American Children’s Theatre in Milwaukee and hanging out with friends and family.  She was loving, caring, kind, funny and just an amazing person.

Antoinette leaves to cherish her memory, parents, Calvin and Luerie Simon of Waukegan, IL; brother, Anthony Simon of Beach Park, IL; sister, Denice Coleman of Waukegan, IL; nephews, Christopher Coleman of Denver, CO and Alexander Coleman of Minot, ND; special friend, Robert Blake of Milwaukee, WI and a host of cousins and very dear friends.

Antoinette is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Antoine and Loretta Simon; maternal grandparents, Luther and Margarette Williams; aunts, Dorothy Grey, Ruth Brown and Anna Ladd; an uncle, McKinley Chatman; and brother-in-law, Randy Coleman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL 60099, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Rev. Gerald Wilcoxon will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 1355 Peachtree St NE Suite 600, Atlanta,GA 30309, or at www.arthritis.org.
