Obituary of William Poindexter

William “Willie” E. Poindexter, 48, of Beach Park, Illinois, passed away September 3, 2019 in Glenview, Illinois.

Willie was born October 12, 1970 in Waukegan, Illinois. He worked as a mechanic at Liberty Auto in Libertyville, Illinois. 

He is survived by his mother, Linda M. (Poindexter) Smith; his brothers and sisters, Donna K. Poindexter (Delano Meriweather), Jeanine M. Poindexter, Stacy A. (Christine) Poindexter, Gordon Smith, Johnna Sims; and Calvin Poindexter, Jalen Meriweather, Michael Poindexter, Gavin Beshel, Coral Beshel, Dylan Beshel, Russell Keith, Michael Keith and Cheyenne Keith (Belk).

Willie is preceded in death by his father, John Smith; nephew, Randy Novak; lifelong partner, Penny Keith; grandparents; and aunts and uncles.

A Visitation will be held September 11th , 2019 from 5: 00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois 60099.
