Obituary of Donald Files

Donald (Donnie) G. Files Jr., 56, of Zion, Illinois, passed away suddenly September 21, 2019 in Waukegan, Illinois.

Donnie was born May 28, 1963 to Linda Setterlund and Donald G. Files Sr. at Victory Hospital in Waukegan, Illinois.  He married the love of his life, Ellen, July 4th, 1997. He was employed through Grainger Industrial Supply.

He was an avid woodworker, adored the outdoors and fishing, and loved him some Cubbies and Da Bears. Donnie was a wonderful and kind man that would help anyone in need, and was a fantastic husband and father.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Files; children, Jacob Samuel Files, Joshua Allen Files; grandchild, Aiden McBride; and his parents, Linda Setterlund, Donald G. (Debbie) Files Sr.; and sibling, Robin L. (Bob) Keilp.

He is preceded in death by his son, Sean Michael McBride; and his Mother-In-Law, Barbara Hamill.

Visitation will take place Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 1:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois 60099.
