Obituary of Dawn M. Morse

Dawn Marie Morse, 47, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, gained her wings on October 3, 2019.

Dawn was born March 7, 1972 to David and Hazel Morse at Victory Hospital in Waukegan, Illinois.

She was a member of Church of God and worked at the Ann Kiley Development Center. Dawn was the loudest cheerleader in the stands for her children, grandchildren, and her sister’s children. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved nature and wildlife; and had a special dog named “Bear” who loved her as much as she loved him. 

Dawn is survived by her children, Alex M. Morse (Excel), Tommie Jones IV, and David A. Jones; grandchildren, Xander Morse, Roxy Morse, and Lexie Morse; her mother, Hazel Morse; her sister, Dana Morse; and a special friend Diane Nord, whom she called sister. Aunts Hilda Palmer (Jack), Hannah Evans (Kim), and Uncle Todd Morse (Chris), Nieces Ciarra Harris, and Kaylee Geiss, Nephews Carl Harris and Chris Harris and her close Friends she considered family. Many Cousins in the area and an extended family in Alabama and West Virginia.

She is preceded in death by her father, David Morse; grandparents, Ralph & Gladys Williams and Lowell & Betty Morse; uncles, Harvey Williams, Dean Williams, Tim Morse, and Andy Morse.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois 60099.
