Sandra Lee Knox, 61, of Zion, Illinois, passed away peacefully January 8, 2020.
Sandra was born November 11, 1958 at St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan, Illinois. She grew up in Lake County, living in Waukegan and Zion, Illinois throughout her life, and attended local schools. She worked for 14 years at Abbott Labs in North Chicago, Illinois.
Sandra was a lover of many things. She loved to cook, decorate, read the newspaper, do crossword puzzles, freestyle music, relaxing while watching TV, adored spending time with her family, and absolutely loved Diet Coke.
She is survived by her children, Lafayette (Melissa) Knox of Zion, Illinois, Beaneisha Adams (Detrick) Adams of Zion, Illinois, and Joseph Davis of Grayslake, Illinois; her grandchildren, Ivelisse Soto (Lafayette), Dazhana Adams, Aaliyah Adams, Brookelyn Adams (Beaneisha), Jalen Davis, and Armani Davis (Joseph); two great-grandchildren; her mother, Emiko Freiden (nee Osera) of Waukegan, Illinois; and a brother, Thomas Knox of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a sister, Judith (Manuel) Chagoya of Beach Park, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Theodore Knox; and a sister, Deborah Knox.
A Memorial Service will be Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Trinity Christian Center, 2600 Lewis Ave, Zion, IL 60099 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
