Robert P. Will Jr., 69, a prominent Lake County Attorney of Waukegan, died on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago following a brief illness.
He was born April 6, 1938 in Waukegan. Bob served with the United States Army Reserve. He began his practice of Law in 1962, opened his first Law office in 1963 and has continued practicing Law for 45 years, including 15 years with his partner in crime Tom Briscoe. He served as Chief Public Defender of Lake County for approximately 10 years. He was also an active member of the Republican Party, both nationally and in Lake County.
Bob was also a lifetime Green Bay Packer and Dodger fan and was a charter member of the Packer Hall of Fame in Green Bay. He was also a member of Waukegan Lodge #78 A.F.&A.M. and Zion-Benton Moose Lodge #667.
Survivors include his children Rena, Ryan Bart (Traci), Rhonda and Robin; grandchildren Christian, Tyler and Riley; his mother Rena; long-time companion Jan; and the mother of his children Dolores.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert P. Will Sr.; and one brother Frederick Scott Will.
Visitation will be Monday, November 19, 2007, from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 20th, at 11:30 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion. Memorial donations to Kids Korner at Lake County Courthouse have been suggested.
